Plate bending is a metal cold working process accomplished thanks to the pressure made by the mould and given to get certain shapes. Metal and plates bending are used to produce semi-worked articles and can be used on metalic surfaces of different types.
Turning is a processing that allows to produce finished material, starting from the processing of raw material and is got by final removal of the chip. The turning is defined by a rotating motion of the part and a quite rectilinear movement of the tool. It is different from the milling and the punching where the tool has a rotating motion; in the turning the sharp part of the tool enters inside the material of the part and removes the portion in excess (sovrametallo) preparing a chip. The tooling machine used for the turning is the lathe. Turning is widely used in the metal processing. According to the position of the tool it can be divided in:
TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas)welding, is an arc welding process with infusible electrode (of tungsten), under the protection of inert gas, that can be executed with or without adding metal. This welding technology was developped at the beginning for the aeronautical industry during the Second World war to replace the rivets with welded parts (much more light and with the same resistence) on the airplanes
The TIG welding is one of the most widespread methods of welding, it supplies joints of high quality , but requires high specialized operators. This is why FMS pay much attention in the choice of the employees.
The MIG welding(Metal-arc Inert Gas), is a welding process developed after the Second World War that has acquired a certain importance always increasing, in terms of welded product for year, The welding process MIG/MAG is a continuous thread method, where the protection of the welding process is ensured by a cover gas, that flows from the torch on the part to be welded. Since it is a process in continuous thread, it can grant a high productivity to the operation, and also the gas presence allows to operate without waste.
In order to grant the excellence of the final product and a fonctional order inside the workshop, the semifinished and the finished products are conveyed by a crane, in the different departments or to the loading, and unloading areas. This machine has the function to lift and move the materials and goods, with restricted and confined movements, both outside and inside the workshop.
FMS can also offer the customers the service of parts manufacturing starting from the technical drawings. Parts can be produced in small and big lots, to be destinated to equipment customization projects. The employees of the production department are able to answer very quickly to customers requests of offer, choosing the material, defining the production cycles and granting fast deliveries and quality controls during each production step.
